Well, nothing has really changed with any of my clubs since last year. I am thinkning about a new driver but havent really decided just yet.
One thing I have done this year is change my grip. This has completely changed my setup, swing, and contact. I am striking the ball with accuracy and when I take a dinger I know exactly what I did wrong. Taking all the guesswork out of golf has made it much funner.
I have only been able to play 4 times this summer. Three out of those 4 rounds has been below 80 though. So I am really pleased with the clubs, and the new grip.
Another thing I have been focused on is club distance and course management.
Right now, I am hitting these clubs at:
Driver: 300-330 yds
3Wood: 240-280 yds
3I: 220-230 yds
4I: 210 yds
5I: 200 yds
6I: 190 yds
7I: 175 yds
8I: 160 yds
9I: 130-150 yds
PW: 90-120 yds
SW: 5-30 yds
Putting: 2 putt per/green avg
Josh and I played Meadowbrook on Saturday morning. I took a couple phone shots of some highlights. The course is a 72 with a 112 slope. It is the first time I have broken 80 at this course, I ended up with a 79.

ALMOST A HOLE IN ONE.....
About 16 inches away. I know this is not that great, but I had actually told Josh that I was going to sink a hole in one just before I shot. This par 3 is 180 out with trees enclosing the approach of a very small green. Since you have to play it so high, the ball really doesnt go far after hitting the green. I birdied.

THE GREENS NEED REPAIR!
What does a divot look like when a ball from 220 yds out comes crashing into it?
Probably almost as bad as this. This looks more like a cup than a divot. The ball came in from 220 yds out but also had a 30ft descent from the point of shot contact to green impact.
